With so many new residents moving to the area most are always asking where to live in Port St Lucie Florida and this is a challenging topic. Below I’ll talk about options new residents have when considering moving to Port St Lucie Florida in 2023.
Types Of Neighborhoods in Port St Lucie
We can all agree that everyone wants to live in the best neighborhoods when moving to a new area and living in Port St Lucie is no different. There are a handful of neighborhoods you could call the best in the city including the master planned communities of Tradition, St Lucie West and last but not least PGA Village which is home to one of the nicest golf courses in the area. Residents here will be part of an HOA “Home Owners Association” and monthly fees and rules vary from each Port St Lucie neighborhood.
There are many other great neighborhoods located in Port St Lucie that are not within an HOA ” Home Owners Association” which allows residents to have boats, RV’s and other toys you might own. There are 30 neighborhoods and still growing which are part of the NICE “Neighborhood Improvement Community Engagement” program within Port St Lucie city limits.
Some of my personal favorites include Becker Ridge, Crane Landing, Woodland Trails, Southbend Lakes and Torino.
There also the 55+ neighborhoods which include Del Webb at Tradition, Lake Park at Tradition, Valencia Cay @ Riverland, Esplanade at Tradition and this list is still growing as of late 2022.
Homes With Ocean Access
If choosing a home with ocean access is on your top priority you might want to consider one of these four waterfront neighborhoods situated on the North Fork of the St Lucie River which include Bay St Lucie, Island Of Rivella, Vikings Lookout and Kitching Cove Estates.
These are gated and private communities that most current residents within Port St Lucie don’t even know they exist. Monthly HOA Fees vary and amenities if any are different in each of the waterfront neighborhoods.
Home Prices In Port St Lucie
Home prices in Port St Lucie currently as of late 2022 are ranging from the low $300,000’s to well over $2Million for the ocean access neighborhoods like Bay St Lucie and Island Of Rivella on the St Lucie River.
New construction homes start near $375,000.00 for a modest 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home with 1700 square feet under air as we close out the 2022 calendar year.
The average price per square foot or under air living area is ranging from $180.00 – $250.00 for most homes for sale in Port St Lucie Florida currently. Prices can and will vary depending on the builder and upgrades each individual home has.
