The popular neighborhood of Canal Pointe is located in the central area of Port St Lucie just south of Port St Lucie Blvd and just on the east side of the Florida Turnpike. You will find a mixture of older homes built in the 1980’s and plenty of newer homes that were constructed in recent years.

Many locals who choose to call this area home did so due to location to the Florida Turnpike and you are seconds away from shopping, dining and everyday necessity items. Canal Pointe is just a 5-minute drive one of the City’s newest regional parks, Jessica Clinton Park which is located just on the south side of the C-24 Canal where you will also find the C-24 Canal Park which offers boat ramps and plenty of parking for boaters looking to enjoy a day on the water.

Types Of Homes In Canal Pointe

While you will find a handful of homes built in the late 1970’s most homes started popping up in this neighborhood in the 1980’s, 1990’s and with a good amount of new construction from 2017-2022. Many of the older homes were built using Wood Frame Construction until building codes were changed in the state of Florida area hurricane Andrew in 1992.
