History Of Reynolds Ranch
There is lots of history at Reynolds Ranch dating back to the 1920’s when its was rumored that Al Capone once owned this property as a gangster hideout. The original house was built by Al Capone in 1923 and was mostly used to kick back and relax when he wasn’t ruling the streets in Miami and Chicago. This was a safe haven for him but later moved to Miami in 1928 and bought a beachfront estate and later died there in 1947.
Burt Reynolds purchased the property and filmed multiple movie scenes here including Smokey and The Bandit and a TV series called B.L. Stryker. After many years of owning this ranch it was sold to Palm Beach County Florida with the intention of building a new public middle school and now the rest is history.
