Living In Jupiter FL [2022] Is Moving To Jupiter Florida A Good Idea

December 5, 2021 by David Rogers [st_comments]

Located just 87 miles north of Miami, Fl is the town of Jupiter Florida which is known for its scenic beaches, historic Lighthouse and beautiful waterways where you will see residents enjoying a day on the water on their boats of all sizes. Living in Jupiter has that small town feel but it still offers people a city life without the heavy traffic of some of the other larger cities located in South Florida.

When comparing to the rest of Florida as a whole, Jupiter is closer to 10% more expensive and most would argue this is due to the average price of housing and or home prices. Compared to late 2020 the average home price increased to around $539,414.00 which was a 23.9% increase in the last 12 months. Homes For Rent in Jupiter are harder to find availability and high new residents will be shocked at the increase as well.

Things To Do In Jupiter, Fl

The are so many fun things to do for the entire family when living in Jupiter Florida or just visiting for a few days including visiting the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse which dates back to 1860. If you are considering a beach day you can head over to Jupiter Beach or Dubois Park which is located just on the south side of the Lighthouse where you can spend the day playing in the surf or watching million dollar yachts cruise in and out of the Jupiter Inlet. If you get hungry you can drive just a few minutes away and have lunch at one of the many popular restaurants on the Loxahatchee River including U-Tiki, Lucky Shuck and so many others. Why You Should Live In Jupiter

There are many reasons you should live in Jupiter, Fl including this is just a great overall place to live with low crime rates, fantastic year round weather, many great restaurants and the laid back lifestyle this area of Northern Palm Beach offers. One of the main reasons I moved here was for boating and enjoying a relaxing day at the sandbar with friends and family which the Intracoastal waterways in Jupiter are super clear except on the outgoing tides.

Is Living In Jupiter A Good Idea

Jupiter Florida is not going to be perfect fit for everyone who is looking to move to this area and some of the reasons include the cost of living but mostly due to the higher than normal prices of homes and or real estate which is one of the biggest downfalls to living in the area. Jobs are another disappointment unless your are in the medical field or other specialist type jobs that are needed otherwise you will need to drive to West Palm Beach or even farther south to Fort Lauderdale & Miami which is a lengthy commute everyday. Another problem with moving to Jupiter is the lack of housing in general, regardless if you are looking to buy a home or rent a home properties in the area just harder to find and when something does come available you have to decide normally in less than 24 hours or you will miss out.
